Interview with Nadja Swarovski at Design Miami 2008

At Design Miami 2008, industrial designer Ross Lovegrove presented a chandelier / table ensemble titled “Liquid Space” that he created for Swarovski Crystal Palace. In this conversation with Dr. Albrecht Bangert, Nadja Swarovski talks about the connection between the luxury industry and design, the aesthetics and function of Ross Lovegrove’s “Liquid Space”, the Swarovski Crystal Palace concept, and future projects.
Nadja Swarovski is Vice President International Communications at Swarovski and the 5th generation descendant of the company’s founder Daniel Swarovski.
Dr. Albrecht Bangert is active in the design community as publisher, author and exhibition curator. His publishing house has won numerous prizes for publications and concepts for museum exhibitions, including awards from the Art Directors Club, Red Dot Awards, iF Industrie Forum Design Awards and the Design Prize of the Federal Republic of Germany in Gold. Among many others, he curated the exhibition “Luigi Colani: Translating Nature” at the Design Museum in London (video at VernissageTV).
