This year’s Design Miami/ Basel moves even closer to the art fair Art Basel. The design fair takes place in Hall 5 of Messe Basel, with a direct passage to Art Basel’s Art Unlimited sector. The marketplace for limited-edition design features design galleries such as Contrasts Gallery, Shanghai; Droog, New York; Carpenters Workshop Gallery, London; Gabrielle Ammann, Cologne. They present curated exhibitions of furniture, lighting and objets d’art. Design Miami also recognizes young, emerging designers with the Designers of the Future Award. This year the Designers of the Future are Beta Tank, rAndom International, Graham Hudson, and Zigelbaum & Coelho.
