Bayrol Jimenez: Displacement / Interview

In the No Holds Barred section of Art Amsterdam 2011, Galerie Dukan Hourdequin Paris presented works by the Mexican artist Bayrol Jimenez. The installation titled Displacement (2011) is based on drawings – on the wall, on paper, and on a buggy. VernissageTV met with the artist who talks about the installation and his work in general.

Bayrol Jimenez was born in 1984 in Oaxaca, Mexico. He lives and works in Oaxaca and Nice. Jimenez attended the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Etching “La Esmeralda” in Mexico (2003-2006), and the National School of Art, École Nationale Supérieure d’Art Villa Arson in Nice, France (2006-2008.
