Craig Havens: An Ending Is Only The Beginning Of Another Story / Cosmos Cinema, Plovdiv, Bulgaria

Within the context of the tenth anniversary edition of the Night of Museums and Galleries in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, the American artist Craig Havens presents a dual-channel display of monumental ending excerpts from the top 100 films of American cinema. The screening takes place at the Cosmos Cinema, a communist-era theater and is titled: An Ending Is Only The Beginning Of Another Story. “Cinema forms the foundation of post-modern visual languages and American cinema holds a key place in that history. To reveal its workings is essential to understanding American impact on world culture.” In this video we attend the opening night of the presentation.
