VTV Classics (r3): Jannis Kounellis: Untitled (12 Horses) (2006)

In 2006, as part of our Art Cologne coverage, we filmed the reconstruction of one of Jannis Kounellis‘ most famous works, the spectacular installation Untitled (12 horses). The original was staged in 1969 at Galleria L’Attico in Rome. It consisted of a group of twelve live horses tethered in the gallery. Our video will be shown in an upcoming exhibition, so we took the occasion to give it the VTV Classics treatment, which means that we re-mastered and re-edited it. This is the result.

The original video was published on November 4, 2006, two days after it was filmed at Art Cologne 2006. Being one of our first videos at a time when internet speed was ridiculous low, we back then published it in 4:3, sub-SD resolution. Fortunately, we filmed it in HD, so we can now re-published it in 1080p.

Our series r3 highlights the treasures of VernissageTV’s huge archive. R3 is a series of VernissageTV classics, now re-mastered, re-edited and reissued in High Definition. Click here for the complete list of videos. Click here for the original post.
