I first saw the work of Cassandra C. Jones at PICA’s TBA Festival in Portland, OR and now at Pulse in NY, NY. I thought her cheerleader wallpaper was of the most refreshing pieces in the show. Nothing I have seen of hers is what it seems at first glance. I believe her work is testament to why, truly taking the time to look and savor the art experience is so rewarding.
