Friedrich Loock (owner / director of Galerie Wohnmaschine) talks about Alec Soth’s series Niagara, Soth’s second solo exhibition at Wohnmaschine and his most recent body of work, following his series Sleeping by the Mississippi. Alec Soth’s photography is firmly rooted in the tradition of Walker Evans, Robert Frank, and Stephen Shore. Wohnmaschine, Berlin, April 28, 2006.
Current exhibition at Wohnmaschine: Charlie White – Everything is American (May 05 – June 10, 2006). Friedrich Loock is involved in Chung King Project, Los Angeles. The gallery is a collaboration between Wohnmaschine, Mihai Nicodim of Kontainer Gallery, Los Angeles and Nicholas Baker and Zoe Foster of fa projects, London.
