Pierre Ardouvin / Galerie chez Valentin

At Art 37 Basel Galerie chez Valentin, Paris, presents a one-person show with an installation by French artist Pierre Ardouvin. The work is called “At the theatre tonight”. “My project consists in installing a small 20- to 25-seat show area (seats, red carpet and curtain, fabric on the walls) in the booth space. Visitors are invited to take a seat in front of the stage, which is the artistic stage as well as the public walkway” (Pierre Ardouvin). Assistant Joe Tang talks about Pierre Ardouvins work and the gallery. Pierre Ardouvin lives and works in Montreuil, France. Art Statements, Art Basel 37, Basel, Switzerland. June 15 and 17, 2006.
