The first Design Miami (formerly design.05 Miami) took place from December 1-5, 2005 in the historic Moore Building in the Miami Design District. Driving force behind Design Miami is real-estate developer Craig Robins with his company Dacra. He is the principal of Design Miami/ Basel and known for his addiction to art, architecture and design and his creative ventures in Miami.
