Miriam Cahn / Stampa Gallery, Basel

September 19, 2006

Miriam Cahn at Galerie Stampa, Basel
The current exhibition at Stampa Gallery in Basel presents both new works by Miriam Cahn and works from the gallery’s archive. “This exhibition is conceived by Miriam Cahn. Since the beginnings of her art practice there has been a close cooperation between the artist and the gallery STAMPA. Both take responsability for two separate curatorial spaces: While Miriam Cahn provides room 3 with her latest works, STAMPA chooses works from it’s archive for room 1 and 2. Thus the exhibition reflects two curatorial positions which are familiar with each other due to the years long cooperation of the artist and the gallery. And it brings into dialogue earlier and later works by Miriam Cahn.” (PR Stampa). Miriam Cahn: überdachte fluchtwege + Auswahl Archiv STAMPA, September 1 – November 11, 2006. Impressions from the opening reception on September 1, 2006.
