Valie Export at Cologne 2006
VALIE EXPORT (born 1940 in Linz, Austria, as Waltraud Lehner) is one of the leading pioneers of feminist Video Art of the 1960s and 1970s. VALIE EXPORT was Professor for Multimedia Performance at the Kunsthochschule für Medien (Academy of Media Arts) in Cologne from 1995 to 2005. VALIE EXPORT exhibited at documenta 6 in 1977 and at the Venice Biennale in 1980 (with fellow Austrian artist Maria Lassnig). VALIE EXPORT is represented by Charim Galerie, Vienna. Art Cologne, November 2, 2006.
