Art Positions is Art Basel’s cultural meeting place on the beach at Collins Park. In 22 shipping containers young galleries showed their projects. Of the over 100 applications submitted, the Selection Commitee has chosen 22 galleries from the USA, Mexico, Puerto Rico, China, Great Britain, Switzerland, Brazil, Germany, and Greece. This year the Selection Committee placed particular emphasis on processual works and performance art. On the opening night of Art Positions, “Art Loves Music” featured a concert by provocative singer Peaches and her band. Art Basel Miami Beach, December 6, 2006. Part 2/2.
