Alcover, 1995-2006 / Palau Solleric, Mallorca (Spain)
December 22, 2006

The Main Floor of the Palau Solleric in Palma hosts until the end of January the retrospective exhibition of Jose Maria Alcover, curated by Pilar Ribal. The halls of the baroque palace have been occupied by the myriad of pieces that form the sculptural installations of this outstanding Mallorcan sculptor. Alcover has been working intensely during the last two years in his studio to create his latest series of works with concrete, that dialogue with previous series in which the artist dealt with other materials such as lead, plaster or wood. The exhibition concludes with a video in which the artist performs the reading of a text related to his work. By VTV correspondent Pau Waelder.
