Interview with Visionaire co-founder and editor Cecilia Dean
Cecilia Dean, co-founder and editor Visionaire talks about the original idea of Visionaire, the concept, the 50th issue and the Visionaire Coloring Toy set. Visionaire is a multi-format album of fashion and art produced in exclusive numbered limited editions.
Visionaire celebrates its 50th issue with a very special edition, the “Visionaire 50 Artist Toys”. The edition was presented during Art Basel Miami Beach 2006 at the Visionaire Coloring Bar which was located directly in front of the entrance of the Raleigh Hotel, Miami Beach. Contributors to the edition include: painters Alex Katz, Kehinde Wiley, and Rita Ackerman; sculptors Tim Noble & Sue Webster, Tony Oursler; illustrator Robert Crumb; writer Kurt Vonnegut; artist Rob Pruitt; graphic designer Chip Kidd; and Japanese digital artist Chiho Aoshima. Miami, December 9, 2006.
