June 27, 2007

Dream and Trauma at Kunsthalle Wien and MUMOK
With the kind permission of Kunsthalle Wien and MUMOK, Museum Moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien we had a first look into the exhibition Dream and Trauma, days before the opening, while it was still in its installation phase. Dream and Trauma opens June 28, 2007 und runs through October 4, 2007. Dream and Trauma is an exhibition with works from the Dakis Joannou collection, Athens – a joint project with Kunsthalle Wien and MUMOK. The exhibition approaches the two phenomena that draw on the unconscious, the dream as well as the psychic injury – the trauma, with over 40 contemporary artistic positions. The video shows scenes from the installation of the exhibition and a larger part is dedicated to the almost finished installation by Nari Ward, “Amazing Grace”. Kunsthalle Wien and MUMOK, June 24, 2007.
