The Armory Show 2008 New York / Press Conference and Opening

The Armory Show, The International Fair of New Art, celebrates its tenth edition this year and presents 150 international galleries featuring contemporary art. The show takes place at Pier 94 from Thursday, March 27 to Sunday, March 30, 2008. In the first part of our Armory Show coverage we attend the press conference with The Armory Show Executive Director Katelijne De Backer and Paul Morris, Merchandise Mart’s Vice President of Art Shows & Events and have a first look at what the participating galleries present this year. For example, we saw works by Jason Rhodes at David Zwirner, Daniel Richter and Jonathan Meese at Contemporary Fine Arts, Jenny Holzer at Cheim & Reid, and Thomas Hirschhorn at Arndt & Partner.
