Volta New York 2008 / Professional Preview

Volta art fair debuted in Basel, Switzerland and now brings 52 international artists and galleries to New York during The Armory Week. The fair is located opposite the Empire State Building. What’s special about Volta New York is that all galleries present solo projects. The show has been curated by Amanda Coulson and Christian Viveros-Fauné with the intention to put the focus back on the art producers. Among many other interesting presentations visitors will find an impressive video installation by Itamar Jobani at Noga Gallery of Contemporary Art (Tel Aviv) and two kinetic sound sculptures forming the installation “Cock Fight” by David Ellis at Roebling Hall (New York). March 27, 2008.
