Willie Doherty: Three Potential Endings / Gallery Peter Kilchmann, Zurich

Willie Doherty’s current solo exhibition at Gallery Peter Kilchmann in Zürich, Switzerland, presents his new film, Three Potential Endings. The name of the film is at the same time the title of the show, that is Willie Doherty’s sixth exhibition at Peter Kilchmann. In addition to the film a series of photographs are on display.

Three Potential Endings was shot on location in Dublin. The film is structured around three open-ended sequences involving a businessman who finds himself outside of the familiar surroundings of the office.

Willie Doherty was born in 1959. He lives and works in Derry, Northern Ireland. He has twice been nominated for the Turner Prize. Many of his works deal with the political situation in Northern Ireland.

The exhibition at Gallery Peter Kilchmann runs until the 21st February, 2009.
