Agrupacion Senor Serrano: Artefact / Escena Contemporanea Festival, Madrid
February 18, 2009
At the festival Escena Contemporánea, the group Agrupación Señor Serrano presented their work “Artefact”.
“The dramaturgy of Artefact is articulated on a series of actions based on the manipulation of objects and stage elements. These actions, carried out by two performers, are captured by a camera, real-time transformed b video effects, and projected in big format on the walls of the stage space. In Artefact, the usual division between stage and stalls vanishes to give rise to a hybrid space, halfway between the art installation and the chill out, where the performers, the technical staff and the audience are set.”
Original idea and development: Alex Serrano, Martí Sánchez Fibla and Pau Palacios. Direction: Alex Serrano. Dramaturgy: Pau Palacios and Alex Serrano. Performers and creation collaborators: Ester Forment and Diego Anido. Assistant director – production: Barbara Bloin.
