Nancy Spero: Let the Priests Tremble… / CAAC Sevilla, Spain

The exhibition Dissidances at the Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo in Sevilla, Spain was a major retrospective of Nancy Spero’s work. In this video we have a closer look at the work Let the Priests Tremble… Let the Priests Tremble … , 1998/2008, is a large hand-printed wall installation. Nancy Spero produced this installation in the Ikon Gallery in London. In it, strong, athletic women dance to the sound of a passage from an essay by Hélène Cixous from her book The Laugh of the Medusa.
