Claus Richter: RATS! / Galerie Eva Winkeler / Art Cologne 2009

April 29, 2009

At Art Cologne 2009 Galerie Eva Winkeler presented an installation by German artist Claus Richter. Claus Richter’s installation takes the visitor away from the art market to another place, a narrow lane with abandoned shop windows and vitrines, empty cookie tins and – rats!

Conny Kuilboer, Bernd Thiele and Claus Richter performed to the song “Put on a Happy Face” from the 1960s Musical “Bye Bye Birdie”, in a new interpretation by Claus Richter.

Claus Richter was born in Lippstadt, Germany in 1971. He lives and works in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
