Alexandre Joly at Galerie Römerapotheke, Zürich

January 19, 2011

Galerie Römerapotheke starts into the new year with a solo exhibition with works by the artist Alexandre Joly. “Alexandre Joly work is based on an imaginary universe of the marvelous and the strange, the macabre and the playful. In installations and performances Alexandre Joly investigates acoustic creations, acoustic areas and objects. Nature and the animal world are very present in his work. The contemplator is seduced to experience his work by a tactile and spontaneous instinctive way.” Alexandre Joly was born in 1977 in Saint-Julien en Genevois, France. He received several prizes such as the Kiefer Hablitzel prize in 2006 and 2007. Galerie Römerapotheke will present Alexandre Joly at Volta NY 2011 in March.
