The Armory Show 2011

March 3, 2011

There’s a lot of neon, LED and mirrors at The Armory Show 2011. Master of the light is Iván Navarro, who put up a site-specific installation at the booth of Paul Kasmin Gallery. Titled “The Armory Fence”, the work forms an ornamental fence that prevents the viewers from entering the 24 x 36 foot space. It’s not the only work by Iván Navarro that can be seen at The Armory Show (and at ARCO Madrid he had several appearances, too). In this video you will also encounter works by Olafur Eliasson, Nick Cave, Jonathan Meese, Leandro Erlich, Tony Cragg, Jon Kessler, Wim Delvoye, among many others.

The Armory Show, New York / USA, Vernissage, March 2, 2011.

PS: Photo set after the jump. See also Ben Austin’s reports on the New York Art Fairs at FAD.
