VernissageTV Classics (r3): Christoph Büchel: Hole at Kunsthalle Basel
April 22, 2011
In 2005, Swiss artist Christoph Büchel converted the Kunsthalle Basel into a labyrinth that led to a hall with the remnants of an exploded excursion bus. The exhibition walkthrough we filmed was one of the first videos we published – the second episode, in fact. After this initial encounter with Büchel’s work, VernissageTV filmed several of his other works and installations, such as the gigantic “Simply Botiful” at Hauser & Wirth in London. We thought it’s time to revisit this show, because it was one of the reasons to start VernissageTV.
This is the third episode in our new series r3 that highlights the treasures of VernissageTV’s huge archive. R3 is a series of VernissageTV classics, now re-mastered, re-edited and reissued in High Standard Definition (well, we didn’t have an HD cam yet).
PS: Here’s the original version.
