In this video Azerian artist Orkhan Huseynov tells us about his two works exhibited at The Journey To the East Exhibition in Białystok, Poland.

Occupied is an installation about notion of military occupation. Although the theme of artwork is serious, the work itself is joyful. Some visitors were amused, and some other even ignored this “occupation” and used the facilities. Toy soldiers in the toilet are shooting each other, the viewer can see even a massacre arranged with the toys.

Splash is the latest work, it’s made of Plexiglas. This object represents liquid, oil, some fluid that is impossible to capture and possess.

Orkhan Huseynov lives in Baku, Azerbaijan. He graduated from Azerbaijan State Fine Academy, State University of Culture and Arts and State College of Fine Arts.
