Volta New York 2012

Impression from Volta NY art fair 2012. Volta NY is an invitational show of solo artists’ projects. It’s the American incarnation of the Volta Show that was founded in Basel in 2005. Highlights include Carl Emanuel Wolff’s Achse des Bösen at Schuebbe Projects; sculptures by Rachel Beach at Blackston Gallery; paintings by Asgar / Gabriel at Brotkunsthalle; works by Terry Haggerty at Kuttner Siebert; a performance by Wilmer Wilson IV at Conner Contemporary; an installation by Tiong Ang at Rewind; dioramas by Patrick Jacobs at The Pool NYC; a mirror wall by Jason Gringler at Stefan Röpke; works by Shin Il Kim at Simon; and Julianne Swartz at Mixed Greens.
