Inhotim 2012 Premiere: Lygia Pape, Tunga

Concurrently with the São Paulo Biennial, the Inhotim Institute of Contemporary Art and Botanical Carden opened new art pavilions. More than twenty contemporary art pavilions that show works by Matthew Barney, Doug Aitken, Anri Sala, Ernesto Neto, Haegue Yang, Isa Genzken, Michel Majerus, Pipilotti Rist, Zhang Huan and other international contemporary artists are now installed in the vast art park in southeast Brazil that was founded by the mining billionaire Bernardo Paz. Among the presented artists is now also the established Brazilian artist Tunga. Six major installations that Paz acquired are on display. For the opening Tunga has conceived a series of performances (watch out for the twins that are joined by the hair).
