Gottfried Helnwein: El Canto de la Aurora (The Song of the Aurora) / Galería Hilario Galguera, Mexico City

The gallery Hilario Galguera in Mexico City currently presents a solo show with works by the Austrian artist Gottfried Helnwein. The title of the exhibition is El Canto de la Aurora (The Song of the Aurora). Gottfried Helnwein is known for his provocative works that deal with topics such as childhood, innocence, destruction, and trauma. At Hilario Galguera gallery, Helnwein presents pieces of the series The Murmor of the Innocents, Annunciation, and The Child Dreams.
Gottfried Helnwein has also a retrospective at Mexico City’s National Museum of San Carlos. The exhibition spans four decades. The exhibition at Galería Hilario Galguera runs until January 5, 2013.
