Carlos Cruz-Diez Retrospective at MUAC, Mexico City

With Carlos Cruz-Diez. El color en el espacio y en el tiempo (Color in Space and Time) at the Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo – MUAC in Mexico City present a large retrospective of the Venezuelan artist Carlos Cruz-Diez. The exhibition presents a selection of more than 120 artworks that the artist has created from the late 1940s till today.
Carlos Cruz-Diez was born in 1923 in Caracas. Cruz-Diez has lived and worked in Paris since 1960. His artistic roots reach back to the Kinetic Movement (Movimiento Cinético) of the 1950s and 1960s. His works are part of the permanent collections of institution such as Tate Modern, Centre Georges Pompidou, and Museum of Modern Art.
Carlos Cruz-Diez: El color en el espacio y en el tiempo at Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo – MUAC in Mexico City runs until February 10, 2013. The exhibition is organized by The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and Cruz-Diez Foundation, Houston.
