The exhibition is titled <em>Social Interactions: Beth Campbell / Stephen Willats</em>.</p>
<p>Campbell and Willats are of separate generations and educational experience. <a href="http://www.artfacts.net/index.php/pageType/artistInfo/artist/41836/" title="Beth Campbell at Artfacts.net">Beth Campbell</a> was born in the USA in 1971. She recently participated in <a href="http://vernissage.tv/blog/?s=manifesta+7" title="Manifesta 7 at VernissageTV">Manifesta 7</a> with the installation piece <em><a href="http://vernissage.tv/blog/2008/08/22/manifesta-7-the-soul-trento-italy-part-22/">Following Room – Trento, 2008</a></em>, that is now on display at the gallery. <a href="http://www.artfacts.net/index.php/pageType/artistInfo/artist/9918/" title="Willats at Artfacts.net">Stephen Willats</a>, too, <a href="http://www.manifesta7.it/artists/446?language=2">participated in Manifesta 7</a>. He was born in the UK in 1943. <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Willats" title="Stephen Willats at Wikipedia">Stephen Willats</a> is a pioneer of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conceptual_art">conceptual art</a>. Over the past five decades he has investigated networks and cybernetic theories of social interactions and communication as well as feedback. Seiler + Mosseri-Marlio Gallery presents a selection of works on paper and card from 1994 to 2005.</p>
<p><em>&#8220;Social Interactions: Beth Campbell / Stephen Willats</em> was inspired by the artists’ independent curiosity about thoughts, patterns, associations and consequences, their work and interest in architecture and social structures. (&#8230;) Both are concerned with sociology, psychology, communication, chance, and portray this in their art. They have chosen to work in various media to investigate space and interaction within limited space and time.&#8221; (Excerpt from the <a href="http://www.semoma.com/exhibition/current/social_interactions_beth_campbell_stephen_willats/press_releases">press release</a>).</p>
<p><em>Social Interactions: Beth Campbell / Stephen Willats</em>, <a href="http://www.semoma.com/">Seiler + Mosseri-Marlio Gallery</a>, Zürich, Switzerland. This video shows impressions of the opening reception. December 12, 2008.</p>

<p>This is part 2 of our coverage of <strong>The Soul (or, Much Trouble in the Transportation of Souls), <a href="http://www.manifesta7.it/">Manifesta 7&#8242;s</a> exhibition in Trento, Italy.</strong> In this episode we have a look at works by <strong><a href="http://www.artfacts.net/index.php/pageType/artistInfo/artist/20699/">Roee Rosen</a>, <a href="http://www.artfacts.net/index.php/pageType/artistInfo/artist/5688/">Joachim Koester</a>, <a href="http://www.artfacts.net/index.php/pageType/artistInfo/artist/2648/">Andrée Korpys &#038; Markus Löffler</a>, <a href="http://www.artfacts.net/index.php/pageType/artistInfo/artist/22850/">Eyal Sivan</a>, <a href="http://www.artfacts.net/index.php/pageType/artistInfo/artist/41836/">Beth Campbell</a>, <a href="http://www.artfacts.net/index.php/pageType/artistInfo/artist/20382/">Barbara Visser</a>, <a href="http://www.artfacts.net/index.php/pageType/artistInfo/artist/99162/">Karl Holmqvist</a>, and <a href="http://www.artfacts.net/index.php/pageType/artistInfo/artist/8734/">Klaus Weber</a>.</strong><br />
According to the press release, the title of the exhibition, &#8220;Much Trouble in the Transportation of Souls&#8221;, is a phrase borrowed from <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergei_Eisenstein">Sergei Eisenstein</a>, and &#8220;refers to the intention to challenge the borders of duality by which the soul has historically been described – subject and object, interior and exterior, conscious and unconscious, individual and collective, normal and abnormal.&#8221;<br />
