Bradley Castellanos / New York Contemporary: Art Times Squared / HangART-7

Bradley Castellanos / New York Contemporary: Art Times Squared / HangART-7
Bradley Castellanos is fascinated by those places and conditions in New York that would rather shock us as passers-by in this city: by scrapyards, by demolition regions, trash-heaps and deserted docksides. The Florida-born author can spend hours riding his bike through these places, which he then transforms into post-apocalyptic landscapes on his canvases. Castellanos works with a time-consuming system of over-layering of various layers of photos, resin and paint.” (PR HangART-7). Statement on Bradley Tucker Castellanos by Dan Cameron can be found here. HangART-7, Hangar-7, Salzburg / Austria, press preview, July 7, 2006. Update: Upcoming show at Caren Golden Fine Art: Bradley Castellanos: “Deadland”, from Oct. 19 – Nov 25, 2006.
