Martha Parsey: Milk of Human Kindness / Jarmuschek + Partner / Halle am Wasser, Berlin

At the same time as the Gallery Weekend Berlin 2008 six art spaces open up in a warehouse situated directly behind the Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum für Gegenwart and close to the new central railway station of Berlin. The art dealers Kristian Jarmuschek (Jarmuschek + Partner) and Friedrich Look (Wohnmaschine) and the collector / gallerist Harald Frisch had the idea for the “Halle am Wasser” near the Berlin-Spandau canal. The other galleries are Arndt & Partner, Andersen S Contemporary and Bodhi Berlin. Jarmuschek + Partner inaugurated their space with the young British artist Martha Parsey (born 1973 in London, lives and works in Cologne). Her show titled “Milk of Human Kindness” is the fourth exhibition held in conjunction with the gallery. Jarmuschek + Partner, Halle am Wasser, Berlin. Opening reception, May 2, 2008.
