Rick Poynor talks about the exhibition “Communicate: British Independent Graphic Design since the Sixties” at the Museum of Design Zurich. “This exhibition most definitely has an aim, a purpose, almost a polemical purpose you could say. It’s about almost 45years of independent British graphic design. And that word “independent” is really important” says design critic and Eye Magazine founder Rick Poynor. In the first part of the interview he talks about the historical reference of independent British graphic design and the influence of music on British design. Interview with Rick Poynor part 1/2 at the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich, March 22, 2006.
