Raconte-moi (tell me) / Casino Luxembourg

The Casino Luxembourg – Contemporary art forum presents the work of today’s artists in monographic and collective shows. The exhibitions are generally complemented with publications and a rich accompanying program. The current exhibition “Raconte-moi” presents works by Francis Alÿs, Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster and Christophe Van Huffel, Trevor Gould, Pascal Grandmaison, Melik Ohanian, Dominique Petitgand, Rober Racine, Anri Sala, Michael Snow, Su-Mei Tse and Gillian Wearing. The exhibition is produced jointly with Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec. Curator: Marie Fraser. “A picture, they say, is worth a thousand words, and reality speaks as loud as fiction. The raconte-moi / tell me exhibition has stories to tell, not necessarily in linear fashion, which vastly increases the number of possible interpretations. Experimenting with narrative mechanisms by means of sound and cinema among other things, the artists disrupt our reading habits as well as our visual and auditory perception habits.” (PR CL). Opening reception “Tell me”, Casino Luxembourg, Luxembourg, June 30, 2006.
