At Art Basel at the booth of Contemporary Fine Arts we talked to Nicole Hackert and Philipp Haverkampf about the beginnings of the gallery, current exhibitions and projects – and the guitar player Zachary Cale as “living sculpture”. Contemporary Fine Arts was founded in 1992 and is directed by Bruno Brunnet, Nicole Hackert and Philipp Haverkampf. The gallery is based in Berlin. Contemporary Fine Arts represents the artists Cecily Brown, Peter Doig, Angus Fairhurst, Jörg Immendorff, Uwe Lausen, Robert Lucander, Sarah Lucas, Jonathan Meese, Jonathan Meese/Albert Oehlen, Chris Ofili, Raymond Pettibon, Tal R, Daniel Richter, Dana Schutz, Norbert Schwontkowski, and Juergen Teller.
