Re-opening of the House of World Cultures, Berlin

Following a year-long restoration project, the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (House of World Cultures) has reopened with an exhibition dedicated to New York. With the exhibition “New York – States of Mind” the center is celebrating its 50th anniversary. It features works by 26 artists and two artist collectives, all of whom live and work in New York. Among them: Marcel Duchamp, Hans Haacke, Gordon Matta-Clark, Kehinde Wiley and Carolee Schneemann. The exhibition runs until November 4, 2007. By VTV correspondent Lizza May David.
