The curators António Pinto Ribeiro, Debra Singer and Esra Sarigedik í–ktem chose 28 artist from all over the world (among them: í‚ngela Ferreira, Josephine Meckseper, Mircea Cantor and others) for the exhibition “An Atlas of Events”, which marks the end of the year-long Cultural Forum “The State of the World” in which the production of theories and ideas was accompanied by reflection and debate, and where creativity and cultural and artistic practices interacted with a wide range of different audiences. The cultural Forum “The State of the World” is an international cross-disciplinary programme of Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and is part of the celebrations for the Foundation’s 50th anniversary. The exhibiton runs from 7 October until 30 December, 2007 in the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Lisbon. The catalogue “An Atlas of Events / Platform 3″ is published on the occasion of the exhibition. By Thom de Bock.
