Museion Bolzano Bozen, Italy / Inaugural Exhibition: Peripheral Vision and Collective Body / Opening, Interviews

Since May 24, 2008 the city Bolzano / Bozen in the north of Italy is proud to present the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Museion with the opening show “Peripheral vision and collective body”. The new building corresponds to a redefinition of the entire Museion project: as an institution, Museion has been managed since 2006 by a foundation of which the Province of Bolzano Bozen and the Museum Association are part and, in 2007, Corinne Diserens was appointed as new director. VernissageTV attended the opening reception and spoke with the director and with the curator Letizia Ragaglia. “Peripheral vision and collective body” will run from May 24 to September 21, 2008. There will be an accompanying program of events, performances, films and talks. The exhibition catalogue will be co-published with Hatje Cantz in German, Italian and English editions. The Museion has been designed by Berlin-based architects KSV Krüger Schuberth Vandreike. Museion Bolzano Bozen, Italy, May 24, 2008.
