SELF is an exhibition of the artworks of Leonardo Ramos between 2009-2013. Hosted in LA Galería, Bogotá. Curated by Ricardo Arcos-Palma.
The SELF, its unity, sameness, transfiguration, death and transformation is the subject. Horns of deer are worn for painting; upon wolf and human skulls, fragmented and hold by a metallic structure, bees did their honeycomb. Mirrors reflect these artworks as spectators’ gazes. Drawings about the process of death as transfiguration represent the Self as a surviving projection.
