The German artist Martin Kippenberger (1953-1997) produced at complex and varied body of work from the mid-1970s until his death. His works were not uncommonly provocative, such as the crucified frog Feet First (1990) that sparked anger among catholics in Italy. In 2009, the Museum of Modern Art in New York staged the first major retrospective of Martin Kippenberger’s work. The show with the title The Problem Perspective featured key selections and bodies of work, including paintings, sculpture, works on paper, installations, multiples, photographs, posters, announcement cards, books, and music. Back then, VernissageTV produced a walkthrough of the exhibition. As part of our Classics series, we have currently re-edited the video, so we are now able to publish an improved version in HD.
This is another segment in our series r3 that highlights the treasures of VernissageTV’s huge archive. R3 is a series of VernissageTV classics, now re-mastered, re-edited and reissued in High Definition. Click here for the complete list of videos. Click here for the original post.
