In 2007, Museum Frieder Burda in Baden-Baden (Germany) brought together 60 paintings and 114 works on paper for a retrospective exhibition of the work of German artist Sigmar Polke (1941-2010). The works were drawn from three collections, those of Frieder Burda, Josef Froehlich, and Reiner Speck. The exhibition features examples of Sigmar Polke’s famous Rasterbilder (paintings in raster technique), transparent paintings, pen drawings, and works on cloth. This video shows the opening of the exhibition at Museum Frieder Burda on February 2, 2007 in a remastered and re-edited version of our coverage from 2007.
