Laure Prouvost at Lisson Gallery New York

For her inaugural New York exhibition, Laure Prouvost presents an immersive installation entitled Deep Travel Ink. The gallery space has been transformed into a subterranean travel agency, (DEEP TRAVEL Ink, 2016) with ambiguous function, purported to belong to the artist’s uncle. The piece was first shown at MMK Frankfurt in 2016 and reconfigured for the exhibition. The installation features watercoolers, plants, posters, people working at desks, as well as a waiting area and corporate infomercial.

Laure Prouvost was born in Lille, France (1978) and is currently based in London and Antwerp. She received her BFA from Central St Martins, London in 2002 and studied towards her MFA at Goldsmiths College, London. She also took part in the LUX Associate Programme.
