In 2008, the Schirn Kunsthalle in Frankfurt am Main in Germany presented a comprehensive overview of the work of the Scottish painter Peter Doig. The retrospective featured 50 paintings, a group of works on paper, and about 130 film posters. Peter Doig was born in 1959 in Edinburgh, he grew up in Trinidad and Canada. After having lived in London for twenty years, he went back to Trinidad in 2002.
