With Meridians, Art Basel introduces a major new sector within the Miami Beach fair. Meridians at Art Basel Miami Beach is a platform for large-scale sculptures, paintings, installations, film and video projections, and performances that don’t fit into the traditional fair layout. The inaugural edition of Meridians features 34 large-scale projects by artists such as John M. Armleder, Sam Francis, Isaac Julien, Theaster Gates, Tina Girouard, Luciana Lamothe, Candice Lin, Mario Merz, Portia Munson, Woody De Othello, Adam Pendleton, Laure Prouvost, Torey Thornton, and Oscar Tuazon.
