On the occasion of the group exhibition DYOR at Kunsthalle Zürich, we had the chance to speak with artist and crypto-forensicist Martin Lukas Ostachowski. Ostachowski takes part in the show with his work Cumulonimbus Murus. The piece is a multimedia timeline that shows the development of crypto art, the importance of communities and the influence of memes. In this video, Martin Lukas Ostachowski talks about his artwork, the importance of the documentation of crypto art, technological and aesthetic developments, and AI.

Martin Lukas Ostachowski is an award-winning new media and crypto artist based in Montreal, QC, Canada. He explores blockchain technology through the subject of clouds in physical and digital mediums. Martin Lukas Ostachowski (MLO) has created crypto art and NFTs since 2018, co-authored a position paper on crypto art in 2019 and documented the history of crypto art since 2020, gaining himself the nickname of crypto art historian. Martin Lukas Ostachowski was born in 1984 in Katowice, Poland. He lives and works in Montreal, QC, Canada.
