In addition to the two separate solo shows of Fausta Squatriti and Delphine Coindet, Kunsthaus Centre d’art Pasquart in Biel/Bienne (Switzerland) has put up an exhibition where the works of Fausta Squatriti and Delphine Coindet confront each other in a dialogue that transcends generations and borders. From work to work, sculptural commonalities are found, with the artists as fascinated by the materiality of craft as they are by the unreality of reflective surfaces or the most elemental geometry. In addition to the artistic references (Max Bill, Brancusi, Lucio Fontana, and others), a political consciousness is also discernible, which is expressed in the sometimes more aggressive design. The exhibition in the Galeries space of Pasquart runs until November 19, 2023.
