Palazzo Irreale is a space at Spumante producer Bosca in Canelli, Italy. It’s a space that is intended to host artist interventions and site specific artworks. The inaugural guest artist is Patrick Tuttofuoco, who presents a project that integrates the outdoor spaces with the production facilities. This exhibition features a selection of his works alongside a new neon installation titled “Shape Shifting”. The show documents the artist’s evolution from the early 2000s to the present.
Patrick Tuttofuoco is an Italian visual artist born in Milan in 1974, who currently lives and works between Berlin and Milan. His work is characterized by a dialogue between individuals and their capacity to transform their environment, often exploring concepts of community and social integration. Tuttofuoco melds modernism with Pop art, translating human existence into abstract forms that animate his sculptures.
Tuttofuoco has participated in several prestigious international art events, including the 50th Venice Biennale (2003), Manifesta 5 (2004), the 6th Shanghai Biennale (2006), and the 10th Havana Biennial (2009). His sculptures and installations have been showcased in various institutions both in Italy and abroad, such as the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Turin, the Künstlerhaus Bethanien in Berlin, HangarBicocca in Milan, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo, among others.
