The Zach Feuer Gallery was a prominent contemporary art gallery operating from 2000 to 2016 in New York City, with additional locations in Hudson, NY, and Los Angeles. Founded as LFL Gallery by Zach Feuer, Nick Lawrence, and Russell LaMontagne, it was initially located in Chelsea, Manhattan, before moving to various spaces, including the Dia Art Foundation’s former location on 22nd Street in 2010. In 2004, Feuer became the sole owner and renamed it Zach Feuer Gallery. Known for promoting emerging and mid-career artists, the gallery showcased innovative works by artists like Dana Schutz, Phoebe Washburn, and Nathalie Djurberg, and was celebrated for its role in developing contemporary art careers.

The gallery faced challenges, including severe damage from Hurricane Sandy in 2012, which destroyed 98% of its inventory. It reopened with a group exhibition and later merged with Joel Mesler’s Untitled Gallery in 2015, relocating to the Lower East Side as Feuer/Mesler. In 2016, Feuer transferred ownership to Marinaro Gallery and shifted focus to teaching in Upstate New York. The gallery was a co-founder of the New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) and ran initiatives like an art loan program at the Cambridge School of Weston. It was recognized as a top global gallery for its innovative exhibitions and artist support.

Regarding Jules de Balincourt, the Zach Feuer Gallery represented him and exhibited his work in several solo and group shows during its operation, contributing significantly to his early career development in the New York art scene.
