Diana Eusebio: Field of Dreams / Solo Exhibition at MOCA North Miami

Diana Eusebio: Field of Dreams is the South Florida-based artist’s first solo museum exhibition, now on view at the Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami. Drawing from her Afro-Dominican and Indigenous Quechua Peruvian heritage, Eusebio reimagines home, memory, migration, and belonging through hand-dyed textiles and digital works that honor the Dominican Republic, Peru, and Miami. Inspired by the 1989 film Field of Dreams — with its themes of faith, belief, and second chances — the title reflects the Dominican immigrant experience of building a new life in a new land. The show transforms the gallery into a living ethnobotanical garden, featuring suspended Spanish moss, soft muhly grass, family portraits, and vibrant fabrics dyed with seven natural sources: avocado and cochineal for reds/pinks, annatto, Spanish moss, and marigolds for yellows/oranges, logwood for purple, and indigo for blue. These connect to centuries-old traditions of plant harvesting and dyeing across the Americas and Caribbean. The exhibition runs until March 16, 2026.
