Dominic Michel (born in 1987 in Klingnau, Switzerland), works in Zurich. Play on, and play it again presents silent captures of the Times Square Ball Drop from ABC broadcasts over the past fifty years, since the New Year’s countdown became a recurring television ritual transmitted into the living room. The archived media event was selectively recorded from a screen in analogue form, focusing on moments around midnight, then re-digitized for presentation.
